Welcome to the aromatic world of Brooklyn, a diverse and vibrant borough of New York City, where old-world charm meets modern innovation, culture, and of course, coffee. Known as the ‘Borough of Homes and Churches,’ Brooklyn is a melting pot of art, food, music, and a wide array of cultures.

But today, we’re not exploring Brooklyn’s iconic brownstones or its thriving art scene. Instead, we’re diving into its coffee culture, a facet of Brooklyn life that is as rich and varied as the borough itself.

There’s a saying in Brooklyn: “You’re only as good as the coffee you serve,” and trust us, the coffee shops in Brooklyn serve some of the best. From artisanal coffee houses that roast beans on-site to eclectic cafés that double as vintage bookstores, the coffee scene here is unrivaled.

Brooklyn’s coffee shops are more than just pit stops for your morning caffeine fix. They’re community hubs, creative spaces, and sanctuaries where locals and tourists alike can bask in the aromatic bliss of a well-crafted cup while watching the world of Brooklyn go by.

1. Devocion

Devocion means devotion in Spanish, and once you visit this wonderful coffee shop, you’ll understand why they named it that.

The people at Devocion are devoted to serving the best coffee possible, as they have specifically selected the coffee from the plantations in Colombia.

Once chosen, they mill the coffee at their warehouse in Bogotá and use overnight shipping to get it to their shop in Brooklyn, so they can roast it. If that doesn’t scream dedication, then I don’t know what does.

They do have a few locations around New York, but their Brooklyn coffee shop is one of the best, with cozy brick walls, and warm lighting.

2. Tous Les Jours

This Korean-owned, French-Asian-inspired café will become your next favorite the minute you visit.
