When planning their wedding, they wanted to do something fun and unique, but still had some budget constraints. So, they turned to their favorite hobby—coffee roasting. 

Their goal was to offer a venue where guests could enjoy great coffee while interacting with each other and learning about local businesses in the area.

They opened Ceremony Coffee Roasters in December 2016.

The couple works together to roast every batch of beans themselves, and they use local ingredients whenever possible.

They even grow many of their own herbs and produce.

Most of their menu items are designed to pair well with their coffees, including sandwiches, salads, flatbread pizzas, soups, and desserts.

Bird in Hand Café is located in Charles Village off of Light Street in Baltimore, Maryland.

The name Pitango is derived from the Italian word “pizza”, which means pie.

Pitango is a beautiful large airy bakery with good outdoor seating in the heart of the historic Fells Point neighborhood.

They are known for their tasty baked goods and delicious specialty coffees. They offer a wide variety of sweet treats like scones, muffins, cookies, cakes, pies, baklava, brownies, cupcakes, etc.

The popular coffee spot opened up in September 2018 and it looks like it’s already becoming a favorite hangout among locals and tourists alike.

From the moment you walk into the bright space, you’ll feel transported to a different world.

The walls are painted a warm yellow color with touches of orange and green, while the tables are covered in white tablecloths.

The baristas pour out delicious beverages such as the Double Espresso Over Marshmallow and the Turmeric Pumpkin Spice Latte, which is made with cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, vanilla bean, and turmeric.

They named it after their son, who was born prematurely and spent three months in the neonatal intensive care unit.

“We want to make sure we do something good for people,” he explains.

The menu includes many local options like artisanal cheeses, homemade breads, and meats from nearby farms.

In addition to gelati, Dan offers a full lineup of coffee drinks, including cappuccino, latte, mocha, espresso, flat white, and cold brew. There are also smoothies, juices, and teas.

The couple decorated the walls and ceilings with hand-painted murals, creating a warm and welcoming vibe.

The artisanal coffee shop Artifact Coffee opened in June 2018 at the former site of the Union Mill Company in West Baltimore.
